Improved Safety for the 2018 Toyota Camry

Toyota is well renowned for its safe and reliable vehicles, and continues that tradition with the introduction of the new 2018 Toyota Camry. The new Camry earns the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award due to the new front crash prevention system and the available headlights rated good or acceptable. The improved safety and redesigned exterior give us a Camry that is as smart as it is stylish.

How does a vehicle get an IIHS TOP SAFTEY PICK+? Well the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety determines recipients of the award based off of defined criteria. First, does the vehicle get "good" ratings in all five crashworthiness tests? Second, does the vehicle receive "advanced" or "superior" ratings in front crash prevention. Lastly, does the vehicle have "advanced" or "good" headlight ratings. Vehicles meeting the criteria then get the designation as an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+.

The IIHS ranked the 2018 Toyota Camry above the rest of the award earning midsized cars because of the standard, superior rated, front crash prevention system and its best headlights with the "good" rating.
